    What is a Mojito?

A mojito is one of the most famous cocktails, and for good reason. Mojitos are a traditional Cuban cocktail that is made mostly of rum, lime, soda, sugar, and mint. To make this recipe sugar-free, we substitute sugar for keto brown sugar substitute. With fresh mint leaves and lime wedges, this keto mojito drink is bright, fresh and perfect for those hot summer days by the pool. These ice cold lime mojitos will make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation.

    Carbs in a Mojito

A typical glass of mojito has around 11.3g of carbs and 5.3g of sugar per serving, but with this recipe, the amount of carbs and sugar are just a fraction of that amount to make up this simple syrup. If you are looking for a low carb, low sugar option, our mojitos only contain 1.5 net carbs and total carbs per keto cocktail!

    Is Rum Keto?

Yes, rum is surprisingly keto-friendly! Rum as well as other alcohols such as whiskey and vodka have zero carbs. And you can use white rum as well in this low carb cocktail recipe. So, if you are on a keto diet, moderate amounts of rum are perfectly acceptable. Just make sure to use a sugar replacement when you are mixing the alcohol to make cocktails.

    Other Summer Keto Cocktails

If you don’t particularly love limes, rum, or just mojitos in general, that’s ok! You can change it up with some other summer keto cocktails such as a keto piña colada, a keto strawberry daiquiri, or a keto margarita.

For a coconut flavored cocktail, try the keto piña colada recipe which includes rum, coconut milk, pina colada extra, and monkfruit sweetener.

The Keto strawberry daiquiri is also a great selection if you are looking to feel like you are on vacation somewhere tropical.

If you are not the biggest fan of rum, you can always try out the keto margarita recipe. In all honesty, you can’t go wrong with any of these great summer cocktail recipes.
