Salad is a go-to keto option whether it’s summer and you don’t want to have to prepare a hot meal using your stove or oven or you need a quick lunch or simple salad side dish, keto salad is the way to go. The majority of vegetables you find in a salad are keto friendly. Green leafy vegetables are keto approved, as are olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and mushrooms. Stay away from carrots and peas as those are higher in carbs. But you don’t have to settle with just a green lettuce salad with ranch. You can get creative and have a jalapeno popper salad or fruit salad.
